My results for 2020.

You know, it’s too nice to sum up. Looking over the events, moments, results achieved, you realize that the year did not fly by in vain.
Having come across the Rusatveli24 blog (thanks for the idea), where he emphasizes his gaming results, I was inspired by this idea and decided to list myself which game developer creations I managed to get acquainted with.

Favorites

Let’s start with the warmest thing for my heart.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

I met her at the beginning of the year and she immediately touched me.
The architecture of Prague, dipped in a vat of cyberpunk, wide branches of pumping, huge locations that I spent hours rummaging around, looking for another ventilation or hiding place in every nook and cranny. I played through the entire game guided by the ideas of stealth and silence, and I was happy with my path throughout the game.

Yes, the plot is not ideal, and in some places it is simple, but the gameplay made me very happy, and the 43 hours it took to complete it were not wasted.

Dishonored 2

I consider the universe of this brainchild to be one of the most thoughtful. The story of revenge is worn out and clichéd, but the elaboration of the lore and the background of the characters simply pulls out the whole story. I was interested in finding out who was who, what they did, what sins they had in their bosom.

Walking through this brainchild according to the precepts of the prick (as usual), I felt comfort and ardent enthusiasm to climb the roofs in search of an extra coin or secret.

The only thing that disappointed me was the paucity of the game when you decide to follow a path not stained with blood. You are given a huge variety of ways to destroy the enemy, but the game only gives you a couple of harmless neutralization techniques. Although no one is stopping you from forgetting about peacefulness)

Despite the hatred of many players for this game, I still decided to go through it, spitting on the reviews of those who were dissatisfied. And I was not mistaken. Having not seen the first creations of the franchise, I perceived this project separately from its ancestors. And I really liked this game.

Yes, excessive bugs, unfinished optimization and a painful lack of interesting things in some plot chains prevent us from calling this brainchild a masterpiece. But the ambience of the apocalypse stuck in jazz captivates me. Add to this the ability to change and modify weapons, bases and companions, a huge world that you can explore and paw for hours, visiting location after location and collecting tons of loot (which I love), and a good storyline of the Institute, which sometimes posed moral and humanistic dilemmas for me.
I’m happy with this game)

Grindelka survivors.

I was surprised to notice that I spent quite a large part of my time playing “live to grow” games. Therefore, I have highlighted these projects in a separate chapter.

Stardew Valley

I had heard a lot about it, I knew that it was called the standard of pleasant grinding and relaxing gameplay. My friend and I spent about 50 hours in it, and. she upset. Yes, the game is cozy and light-hearted. Yes, it’s cool and pleasant to keep a vegetable garden (about a hectare), feed the animals and give them names, build paths that connect the parts of your farm, but. it comes at first 10 o’clock. Gradually, the whole game develops from a lampishness into a routine, into a ton of repetitive actions. I guess I just couldn’t get into this brainchild.

Slime Rancher

Cute and childish toy. 15 hours in it passed smoothly and calmly for me, I constantly felt development, which gave me motivation for further modernization of the base (which Stardew Vally was so lacking). Constantly touched by slimy friends that I needed to collect. Somehow there’s nothing more to say. Just a nice grindel with a warm atmosphere.

Graveyard Keeper

This product is conceptually an undertaker simulator. In fact, I did everything in this game, but not dig graves. Keeping bees and collecting honey – no problem. Being a philanthropist who helps the whole village is for a good cause. Finally fix the church and improve the cemetery – noooo.

Well, so – a sincere grindel, whose humor suited me terribly.

Mass Effect series

Great plot, great lore, great characters (God, what is Garrus worth). Everything is gorgeous. But you know what spoils this amazingly gorgeous picture?? The gameplay backwardness of the first part and the terrible technical side of the third. Seriously, I’m even ready to forgive the first flaw, but what to do with the second?. My iron grandfather, standing under the table, adequately handles almost everything, but the 2012 game is too tough for him. Throughout the third part my game was running on frames 30-40-50. And this terribly, TERRIBLY spoiled the whole impression of the game.

Apex Legend

I’m a person who hasn’t spent over a hundred hours on a single project. So imagine my surprise when I noticed that I had logged more than 400 hours in Apex. A game that at times I hated with all my heart. The game that made my obscene vocabulary develop to such an extent that I can write poems in one swear word. But still I played almost half a thousand hours. And she’s still somehow good. Swift action, variety of legends, good maps.
Yes, definitely good.

End

Well then. Here are all the most significant games that I became interested in over the past year.

Surprisingly, there aren’t really any creations that disappointed me. All those projects that I got my hands on more or less came to fruition. I’m lucky, yeah?)

Well, write what you think about the games I mentioned and design your own blog about game results, it would be interesting to read)
