What is Garry’s mod anyway??
As WIKIPEDIA says, Garry’s Mod. Harry’s mod) or GMod is a modification for the first-person shooter Half-Life 2. This is a physics sandbox that allows the player to manipulate objects and experiment with physics, the realism of which is ensured by the Source engine. Garry’s Mod was originally a free mod, hosted and updated by the developer on his site garry.tv up to version 9. Since November 29, 2006, Garry’s Mod has become a paid game and is distributed through Steam for $9.99. It is also available bundled with Counter-Strike: Source or Team Fortress 2 for $24.99. During the 2008 New Year’s promotion, Gmod cost $8.99. It also uses the Steam update system.
On July 29, 2009, achievements for Garry’s Mod were officially announced; on August 26, they were added through the next update. However, their appearance caused a negative reaction among some users.
On June 29, 2010, Garry’s mod was transferred to Source Engine 2010. Gary said it’s technically Garry’s Mod 12. Let’s remember that Gmod 11 was available when the game was on Source Engine 2007. Officially, at the moment there is only Garry’s Mod 10. But Gary adds a version of every engine update in this game. This update features multi-core rendering.
